Raven's Call"Never kiss the Whispered!"A Whispered… nobody really knew what it meant to be one. Only if you were Whispered could you relate. They were extremely rare in the past and once discovered their identity was a very tightly kept secret. In this day and age they were becoming a little more common, like one in ten-thousand instead of one in a million, and you most certainly did not kiss one! To do so would incur an unbreakable bond of one flesh. Unless you really wanted to be bound to one for life, never, ever kiss one! To be “Whispered” meant a rigid torturous training program by very a devout religious upper echelon. Theirs was a life of solitude, strict discipline, training and many times beatings. They were grilled mercilessly to find their “gifts” and not two were ever the same. So you see, a Whispered really didn't want anyone to know. Most of them once they were fully aware of their gifts would remain single. They couldn't afford to bring a mate into their life of difficulties the world would throw at them. But that was then, and this is now, and things have changed. The gifts were usually in the arena of healing, but there were others. Once the trainers focused on the strengths of their healing ability they would “cash in” on this and promote it as the “hand of god” (notice the little g) on the person. This would send donations through the roof, when in truth it was the faith in God of the recipient that did the healing. The Whispered was only the conduit. A “Whispered” could heal anyone of anything because of the gift God had bestowed on them. But they were forbidden (by the religious elite) to heal themselves (it was considered wasteful by the religion). That had to occur naturally. The religious elite had turned their backs on God’s children in doing this and in these end times God was preparing a mighty revival for his children. Whispered would become more and more common. Instead of one in a million they would number one in ten-thousand. People believed where you found one, there would be another not far away. Once they were in tune, they could sense each other, that is if the other wanted to be revealed. |
